Award winning photography – Bronze in 2011 Prix de la Photographie


My children's fashion photography was awarded bronze in Prix de la Photographie 2011, fashion photography category!
“In a very successful fifth year, Px3 received over four thousands entries from over 76 countries. Entries were judged by the following categories: Advertising, Press, Book, Fine Art, Nature, and Portraiture. Px3 asked each judge to use the same criteria when reviewing the photographs: originality, creativity, excellence of execution, and overall impact. The identity of all photographers is not shown during the voting process to insure fairness and the integrity of the competition.”

Children’s fashion – Little expert


Although I photograph children's fashion all the time. I am not really a fashion expert. And I know that if you want real insight, you have to to ask the experts. So I took my daughter to the CPHKids fashion fair this Sunday, to get her opinion on what is hot and what is not.
As I expected (from a 6 year old) ballerina shoes are still the most desirable shoes (these are from Sofie Schnoor). Tutu skirts and classic coats are also hot. My daughter quickly came up with a game called spot the owl…there were a LOT of them, in all shapes, sizes and materials. I never found out if owls are hot or not, but we found a lovely top from Soft Gallery at the Red Cross charity shop with an owl application on the front, that she just had to have.

CPHKids fashion fair.


During this weekend’s CPHKids fashion fair I got to photograph a children's fashion editorial for Junior Magazine on the fashion trends for Autumn/Winter 2011, to be published next September…Unfortunately I cannot show any of the images, but we shot in this wonderful location:

Teen lifestyle photography - Soccer girls


Teen lifestyle photography. When I am not shooting small children for clients, I shoot projects that I find interesting. I recently shot these girls practicing soccer late in the evening, in freezing temperatures. Notice the huge piles of snow that was cleared off the pitch. I didn’t hear a single complaint about the cold.
This is an ongoing project about kids and sports. More to come.

After a flying start to the year, photographing children back to back, I am now looking forward to CPHKids Fashion Fair, where I will be photographing for Junior Magazine. (Lookout for the March issue out in February.) One of the commissions I have shot recently is the AW11 Campaign for Petit by Sofie Schnoor. Sofie continues to drive the brand forward and we do our best to reflect this in the images we shoot. Here are a couple of previews, but look out for the full Campaign at Playtime and CPHKids.
